Lyrics:
And this song is my confession I hope it widens your eyes.
And I’ve no time for who you know what ya say what ya do. Because I’ve more time
for dogs on the street than the people I meet. And I’ve no time for hands-down
tracksuits jocks or four bags of blow or your poxy ego. And I’ve more time for the
dogs on the street than the people I meet.
And be careful what you start because there’s no going back once it begins and I
can’t wait to be in bed by ten and planning who’s head I’ll wreck tomorrow. And the
only thing I’ve ever loved was smoking and I gave up on that too. I get nightmares
about amber life and cold sweats when I see a lighter. And I was never into
painkillers so the pain remains. And your life is meant to be scripted but how can you
let go of the past when you haven’t caught up with the present? And there’s no rest
for the workers no person will stand or you’ll be shot in the head love Fine Gael. I’ll
dance for bread crumbs because there’s nothing left on the table and I’ll die without
a penny to my name but I’ll die happy I told you all the truth. I wasn’t always a prick
but you best believe I am one now. And that won’t change anytime soon while I’m
listening to you, I’ve no faith in tomorrow because I wouldn’t even bother.
And I’ve no time for who you know what ya say what ya do. Because I’ve more time
for dogs on the street than the people I meet. And I’ve no time for hands-down
tracksuit jocks or four bags of blow or your poxy ego. And I’ve more time for dogs on
the street than the people I meet.
And I’ve more time for dogs on the street than the people I meet. Less stress and I’m
greeted with a smile and missed when I leave.
And break the chains around your eyes and start believing in what doesn’t exist.
Stand close to the ones you love because you don’t know when they’ll leave you.
And stand close to the ones you hate because they’re the ones you’ll rate and the
moment you snap you’ll bridge that gap.
Controlled hate? I’ll give em something to relate My mental state! The fools can
never contemplate Why I got more time for the dogs on the street Its cos I cant trust
a single little muppet I meet They’ll destroy ya, when you just try to survive I’m on a
road to a fiver when I sign on the line Its nothing new but who knew, that they’d take
it from you Chewed up and spat out a method tried and true
And I hate the way the ones in charge take what little I got, stand close to the ones
you love because they’re the only ones who matter. And I trust the dogs on the street
over the people I meet and I hate the way the ones in charge take what little I got.
And like many things in my life I miss them dearly and I’ll die without a penny to my
name but I’ll die happy I told you all the truth. And I’m tryna let go of the past but I
haven’t caught up with the present.
